Half-way through 2025

The updates may have slowed down but we certainly haven't.

We performed a Second Degree in April.  At the same meeting we also made our Tyler, Steve Bell, an honorary member of the Lodge.  Steve has been our Tyler for two years, following in the footsteps of his father, Lawrie, who was our Tyler for eight years, and who we made an honorary member exactly ten years ago.

May was a Third Degree, and we also recognised that it was 80 years to the day for Victory in Europe, placing a silhouette at our table in memory of our brothers that never returned home.  We also had a little bit of entertainment from Lewis Curry, who was visiting us on the night.

June was yet another Third Degree.  We're now in recess, and will be returning to our Lodge meetings in September, where we will be introducing another new member to Freemasonry.  Onwards and upwards, as the saying goes.

The annual meeting of the Province of Durham in June saw three of our members honoured, they were Colin Broxson, who received his first appointment to the position of Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, Alan Prest, who was promoted to Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon, and yours truly, Wayne Rumley.  I was appointed to the office of Provincial Grand Communications Officer.

As ever, until the next time.
