What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is perhaps the world’s largest fraternal organisation. Open to men of adult age of any religion, nationality, or social standing, the only requirement is a belief in a Supreme Being. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his, faith, family, and fraternity.

Freemasonry enhances and strengthens the character of the individual man by providing opportunities for fellowship, charity, education, and leadership, based on the three ancient Masonic tenets: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, which translate into our modernised guiding principles: integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness.

These are not hollow words, and as reading the history of this particular Lodge will clearly show, time and time again, that these tenets have been applied faithfully and zealously throughout its long existence.

We have a number of short videos, available here, which will give you an insight into why some of our members joined.
