Meeting - October 2017

Submitted by Wayne Rumley

We had a lecture this month: A Synopsis of the History of Palatine Lodge No. 97 (1757-1907). One of a number of lectures written by W Bro EG Watson, this one having been first presented at our 150th anniversary on the 14th January 1907!

Our Fraternal visitors on this occasion were Lodge Stewart No. 4261, represented by their secretary, W Bro Peter Johnson, PPJGW, and Lodge of Concord No. 6859, represented by their newly installed Worshipful Master, W Bro William Telfer, on his first outing as Master.

I shan't go in to the details of the lecture, but it highlights many of the things that the Lodge and Brethren were involved in during our first 150 years, and was very well received by those that were present.

Mince and dumplings at the festive board!

We have elections in November, but most importantly, we will be carrying out the raising of Bro Paul Wallace, concluding his journey to becoming a Master Mason. It will also mark my last full night in the Chair.

Here's hoping that we get a good turnout for the occasion!

Until the next time.
